Quick Reference:  NFCT Rivers, Lakes, and Streams

When:  July 30, 2011

What:  This is a trail-wide event: Paddle 740 Miles in One Day (or a lot more than that!)

Here's how it works:

  • On July 30, paddlers at locations along the entire length of our trail will hop into their canoes or kayaks and paddle for a mile, 10 miles, 17.2 miles...whatever length works for you.
  • Report mileage by sending it in to 740@northernforestcanoetrail.org. Info needed will be where you paddled and how many total miles you are reporting for how many paddlers (e.g., one person could report 100 miles paddled by 10 people on the Connecticut River).  Deadline for reporting will be close of business on Monday, August 1.
  • You can also upload imagery from your day.  Upload photos here, and videos here.

Kayaking NFCT in New YorkInterested paddlers should REGISTER so we can set ourselves up for success, and so we know how many of you are out there! We encourage you to gather a group of friends and family (10 people paddling 10 miles = 100 miles, right?) so that all miles paddled are fun miles!  We are currently reaching out to retail partners in each state to arrange some locations where you can join a group of fellow paddlers - stay tuned for details!
