Help steward the NFCT by making donations that support our field work!
To increase the safety of our field programs we are hoping to purchase a Delorme's InReach. This piece of technology will allow our field crews to communicate with the NFCT office anywhere across the Trail. We can also follow thier adventures and track their journey as they work their way across the NFCT performing stewardship projects. The device costs approximately $650. Please think about making a donation to the Trail Fund to help us secure the needed funds.
With our Trail Fund and a grant from REI we have been able to purchase a couple of items that will be a huge help for us when we are performing work in the field: a new chainsaw and a portable generator. We are now looking for power tools that we can take on the road with us this season to build outhouses, log ladders, picnic, etc. If you have more than you need or just don't use the following list of power tools anymore, please consider donating them to the NFCT field crew (only tools in safe working condition will be considered). We promise they will be put to use:
- Circular Saw
- Drills
- Sawzall
- Belt sander
- Hand sander
As our crew of volunteer stewards and interns grows, so does our need for tools and gear to support their work on the Trail. Contact Walter Opuszynski if you can donate any of the following items to our stewardship efforts. Thanks!
