Hundreds of people passed through Rangeley over the weekend, and none were disappointed. The Logging Festival Parade provided homegrown entertainment of the best sort, the NFCT exhibitors and speakers engaged and informed with everthing from wood-strip canoes to live raptors, the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum activities created new bonds between organizations and participants through activities including cross-cut saw competitions and trail building, and the 740-Mile Challenge put paddlers young and old out on the calm waters of Haley Pond for a quiet vantage point on the exciting day. And our evening event at the Saddleback Base Lodge was quite simply a fine party - great food, company, and live music enjoyed by attendees of all ages.
Our heartfelt thanks to all who attended, volunteered, and supported the event. It was a wonderful team effort. Thank you.

NFCT Interns (in yellow) strut their stuff in the cross-cut saw competition at the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum.

NFCT Co-Founders Kay Henry and Rob Center (center in green canoe) joined NFCT's first kayak through paddler, Gil Whitney (right in yellow kayak) on the inaugural lap around Haley Pond. Old Town Canoes and Kayaks donated the kayak Gil is paddling to replace Gil's through paddler kayak which burned in a house fire last winter.
The NFCT Info booth at Pond Street was a hub of activity!
A mere glance at the parking lot made it clear that the paddling community had come to town!
An expedition to Hatchery Brook on Sunday included blueberry pancakes! The perfect cap to the weekend.
