Stewardship Interns will complete trail work along the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, living in a tent, and with other interns, staff, and volunteers. There will be opportunities for project coordination as well as hands-on field work ranging from sign installation, to stream bank stabilization, to stone staircase construction. Learn more about the Stewardship Intern Position or access the Stewardship Intern Application. To see examples of last years projects see our 2009 Field Season page.
The Program Intern will assist NFCT staff with the wide variety of activities that happen in the busy Waitsfield, Vermont office. The Program Intern will participate in the running of a small non-profit during our busiest season, pitching in on a variety of tasks. Learn more about the Program Intern Position or access the Program Intern Application.

The Youth Program Intern will help coordinate and lead NFCT's Northern Forest Explorers Youth Program. The Youth Program Intern will be working with children age 10-14 in a program developed to connect rural youth with their backyard waterways. Learn more about the Youth Program Intern Position or access the Youth Program Intern Application.
Candidates need to be at least 18 years old at the time of the internship. Stewardship Interns are required to have a minimum of Wilderness First Aid Certification. If you do not have a current certification we can help you find a location offering the training before the season begins.
