Along with maps, the NFCT Guidebook, NFCT Through Paddler blogs, information from NFCT Staff, local guides and outfitters, NFCT Trail Maintainers can also be a good source of trip planning information. NFCT Trail Maintainers go out on their Trail Segment (a 10-15 mile stretch of the NFCT) at least twice a year; once in the spring and once in the fall. They do general maintenance and check on signage and trail infrastructure. After each site visit they will be posting their observations on their own section of the NFCT Forum, created for the 2012 season.
