William Schomburg Recreational Area Dedication and Paddle

Join us to dedicate a recreational area adjacent to Lyman Falls in Columbia, New Hampshire, in honor of Bill Schomburg. Bill was a long time friend of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail and the Connecticut River Paddlers’ Trail. He was a long-time waterway steward of campsites along the CT and Upper Ammonoosuc Rivers, and was responsible for the creation of the Columbia Meadows Campsite and the conservation of the land along Lyman Falls that will be dedicated in his honor. 9:00-12:00 – Volunteer! Come early to help rehab the island campsite with other community members.
12:00-12:30 – Potluck lunch at Lyman Falls. Light refreshments provided, additional food or drink to share is welcome.
12:30-1:00 – Dedication ceremony. Bring some stories or words to share
1:00 Optional paddle to Bloomfield (3 miles).
