SAGE Lecture Series: Solo thru-paddling New England’s Northern Forest Canoe Trail

April 16 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Each fall and spring, SAGE presents a series of Tuesday morning lectures that cover a wide array of topics of current interest. The speakers are recognized experts from the arts, government, non-profit, education, business, and civic communities in Maine.

This presentation will follow Laurie Chandler’s 740-mile NFCT journey in the summer of 2015.  Laurie is the author of Upwards, the book that followed her 53-day journey at age 53.

Lectures are held on the Portland campus of the University of Southern Maine in Hannaford Hall at the Abromson Center, connected to the USM
parking garage at 88 Bedford St., and Room 102 in the Wishcamper Center.
