Registration is now open for the Twelfth Annual Dandelion Run to be held on May 16, 2020. A half marathon (with 10 km, 4 miles and 2 miles) run largely on dirt roads through the world famous dandelion fields of Derby, Morgan and Holland.

The day will honor and remember Terri Weed, a 15 year old killed by her boyfriend on May 21, 1981. 20% of all fees go to support Umbrella for its advocacy and support women who are victims of this type of interpersonal violence.

Community National Bank is back as underwriting sponsor and the event is looking to grow the number of musicians out on the course and back at the Derby Beach House. Some fine Early Bird Discounts are available if you register before the end of 2019.

Perennial fiddlers and pickers have been invited back for another year and organizers hope to expand music to include a few accordions along the way.

Nothing better as we wait for the snow than to sign up for a great run on the “other side” of winter.
