I’ve not had a boat in the water yet, but the river appears to be ice-free along Route 105 from Richford to Sheldon (big chunks on the banks still though). I don’t know about East Highgate to Highgate Falls – might still be ice/ jams. Missisquoi Bay is still iced over, or was a few days ago. I’d scout the area by the RR trestle at Black Creek before paddling the Abbey Rapids this time of year, for safety’s sake. The creemee stands on Rt 105 are starting to open – always a good sign!
