Auction Supports Stewardship, Community Programming

The NFCT will host its annual online auction Nov. 15 to Dec. 1 in support of its stewardship and programming along the 740-mile water trail connecting New York, Vermont, Quebec, New Hampshire and Maine.

The NFCT’s auction features outdoor gear, experiences, books, art and more, all donated by partners and supporters of the canoe trail. This year’s big ticket items include a guided packraft adventure donated by PackRaft Maine, a handcrafted cedar strip canoe donated by NFCT supporter Grant Faller and a pair of canoes donated by White Rose Canoe.

“Our stewardship work, races, film festivals, youth trips, symposiums — none of it is possible without the support of our business and community partners and our members,” said Karrie Thomas, the NFCT’s executive director. “We’re so grateful for the support we receive, and this auction is a major boost for our program funding. For donors, it’s a great opportunity to get involved with our work, and for individuals, what better way to shop for the holidays than to find some great gear and experiences for a good cause?”

Online bidding begins on Nov. 15 and continues through Dec. 1. Businesses, artists and others who are interested in donating items to the auction can do so by emailing marthe@northernforestcanoetrail.org.
