The NFCT is excited to invite you to our river clean-up event on Saturday, June 15, from 8 am to noon, as we take action to restore the beauty and health of the Lamoille River. Last summer’s flooding left behind significant trash, debris and other refuse along the river corridor, impacting the local ecosystem and diminishing the natural beauty of our waterways. We will be focusing on the stretch from the Hardwick Dam to the Fisher Covered Bridge Fish & Wildlife river access.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals, families, community groups and outdoor enthusiasts to come together and make a tangible difference in our environment. Not only will you be contributing to a cleaner, healthier river, but you’ll also have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for preserving our natural landscapes. Plus, you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts directly contribute to the well-being of the local wildlife and the overall health of the river. We encourage participants to wear sturdy shoes and work gloves, bring water, and dress appropriately for the weather and conditions.
After the cleanup, join us for a light lunch and refreshments as we celebrate our hard work and the positive impact we’ve made. Your participation will not only help clear the river but also send a strong message about the importance of environmental stewardship in our community.
