Allagash Wilderness Waterway Stewardship Crew Leader
The Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) is seeking an experienced trail enthusiast to lead a summer stewardship crew based along the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in northern Maine. As the only dedicated water trail crew in the Northeast, NFCT stewardship crews specialize in projects at the interface of land and water, including campsites, portage trails, and access points. The Allagash Stewardship Crew Leader will work with three Stewardship Interns, camp groups, and community volunteers to lead stewardship projects along the Allagash Wilderness Waterway (AWW), a remote and beautiful section of our water trail in Northern Maine. There will be an opportunity for our crew leader to transition to serve as our Assistant Trail Director in the fall, a full year round position.Learn more.
Stewardship Interns
Six stewardship interns will work as teams to complete stewardship projects along the canoe trail. One three person team will work on projects from New York to Maine, and the other will be based in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Learn more.

The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board provides strategic direction, fiduciary oversight and governance of NFCT.
