Teens to NFCT
The NFCT and Teens to Trails have partnered up to send nine trips of Maine Outing Club members across the entire Maine section of the canoe trail in celebration of the NFCT’s 25th anniversary in 2025. Outings have already taken place in 2023 and 2024, with more to come next year. 2024: Three Big Adventures
In the summer of 2024, Teens to Trails is taking Maine kids on three trips: Moose River-Bow Loop to Grand Falls via Spencer Stream; Moose River to Northwest Carry on Moosehead Lake; and West Branch Penobscot, Lobster Stream to Chesuncook Dam. These trips are full; check back soon for stories and media from these adventures!
2025: Celebrating 25 Years of the NFCT
To celebrate the NFCT’s 25th anniversary, Teens to Trails will host three trips in 2025: Allagash, Chamberlain Bridge to The Thoroughfare; Allagash, The Thoroughfare to Allagash Village; and St. John River, Allagash Village to Fort Kent.

Teens to Trails works with schools to build meaningful relationships between students, caring adults and the natural world by sharing time together outdoors.
This incredible organization provides adult and student leaders with the training, financial support, and reliable resources they need to start and sustain an exciting Outdoor Club at their school. When a school registers with Teens to Trails, they benefit from all Teens to Trails has to offer, including professional development in outdoor leadership and risk management, programming that builds skills through fun adventures and new activities shared with other outdoor clubs from all over Maine, grants for transportation and trip expenses plus so much more.
