The Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) is grateful to the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation for its support of the Northern Forest Explorers (NFE) program.
NFE connects kids with the outdoors in a powerful, immersive way. Our guided NFE trips bring youth ages 9-15 on overnight adventures, where they spend up to six days exploring the Northern Forest through paddling and camping, learning outdoor and leadership skills along the way.
“Access and equity is critical to the Northern Forest Explorers program,” said Karrie Thomas, NFCT’s executive director. “Support from generous funders like the Pearsall Foundation helps us provide partial and full scholarships to kids who don’t always have the opportunity to participate in programs like this.”
NFCT was among over 40 organizations serving the Adirondack region that received funding from the Pearsall Foundation in 2019. To learn more, visit pearsallfoundation.org.
