Just Add Water offers unique experience for thru-paddlers

The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is excited to welcome Just Add Water Floating Camps as a Class III Business Partner.

Located on Rangeley Lake in Maine, Just Add Water is a great lodging option for thru-paddlers and paddling enthusiasts, or for anyone looking for a unique overnight experience. Owned and operated by Rheanna Sinnett and her family, Just Add Water offers two floating camps for nightly rentals.

“Supporting the Northern Forest Canoe Trail is a no-brainer for us,” Sinnette said. “One day, my dad and I watched a group of thru-paddlers pass by in Oquossoc Cove and we realized that our Floating Camps would be a perfect stop along the way. Last year, we had a younger couple on the canoe trail stop for one night — they paddled right up to my parents’ shoreline and stayed in a guest room my parents rent, and the next day they were on their way. I thought that it would be even more unique to offer the ability to tether their canoe to one of my Floating Camps and stay aboard for a night or two and then hop right back on the trail.”

For longer stays, Just Add Water is a short walk from the village of Oquossoc, where paddlers can find restaurants, groceries, and other amenities.
