WAITSFIELD, Vt. – Susan Molzon of Lincroft, N.J., was a summer intern with the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Inc. (NFCT) based in Waitsfield, Vt.
Molzon was a pre-season intern in the NFCT office, helping plan volunteer Waterway Work Trips, summer trail crew projects and events along the 740-mile recreational paddling trail.
Molzon is a junior in the dual-degree civil engineering program at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt. She is an instructor with the Saint Michael’s College Wilderness Program, and has volunteered as a crew member for the Maine Conservation Corps along sections of the Appalachian Trail.
The NFCT is a canoe and kayak trail connecting lakes, ponds, rivers, streams and portage trails between Old Forge, N.Y. and Fort Kent, Maine. Read about the work completed by the 2010 NFCT interns on the Voices From the Trail blog at http://nfct.wordpress.com/.
