Bring your family, gather a team of friends, or come by yourself—this community event is for all ages and abilities. Sign-up for a non-competitive recreational class or enter to race solo, pair, relay, or as a community team.

“This event celebrates the Missisquoi River’s National Wild and Scenic River status and the exciting recreational opportunities available in Richford, while also building camaraderie through friendly competition” says Karrie Thomas, executive director of Northern Forest Canoe Trail.

The course loops between Richford and East Berkshire, where the Missisquoi River passes through a scenic pastoral valley, and the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail offers cyclists a traffic-free cycling experience with sweeping mountain vistas.

Participant check-in will be 8:15 am–9:30 am in Davis Park in Richford, with an awards ceremony following the event. Lunch and refreshments will be for sale as part of the coinciding Richford River Fest in Davis Park 11 am–2 pm hosted by the Richford Conservation Commission. The family-oriented celebration of the Missisquoi River includes educational activities for kids, music, a BBQ and bake sale.
