Waitsfield, VT (November 4, 2008). The Northern Forest Canoe Trail has created a five-minute video as an entry in the Tom’s of Maine "River Stories" contest. The winner of the contest, which challenged entrants to create a short video explaining why taking care of rivers matter and what they are doing to care for rivers, will win a Toyota Prius.
The NFCT video shares a collage of voices from our partners in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, all describing why they are passionate about rivers, and why healthy rivers matter to our region. The voices are accompanied by numerous images and clips from along the Trail, and the film features an original song, "Ancient Rivers Run," written by Rob Williams.
