So, it was snowing here in our Vermont valley yesterday, and while the sun is back today, my thermometer has only warmed to 28 degrees this morning. That’s April in these parts. The skis are still at the ready and the wax table still taking up space on the porch. But the boats have also emerged, like crocuses, from their cover of snow beside the shed.
What do do? In addition to making plans to attend our Northern Forest Paddle Film Fest this Friday, 4/17, at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, I think it’s a good time to take a peek at the Paddler Blogs on our website. Relive the glory of last summer’s through paddlers. Be inspired by a 2009 team that is starting at the very beginning: building their own cedar strip canoe. Or simply admire some of the lovely outhouses along our water trail route. We’ll be able to get out and enjoy them soon enough.
