Castleton Man Wins Raffle at Paddlesports Expo

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – David Cook of Castleton was the winner of a Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) benefit raffle at the inaugural Northeast Paddlesports and Outdoor Expo in Saratoga Springs last weekend.
 
Cook won a new Old Town Cayuga Kayak, and the raffle raised $1,100 to support stewardship projects along the 740-mile waterway.
 
More than 2,500 paddling and outdoor enthusiasts attended the Expo which was sponsored by Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company, New York’s largest canoe and kayak dealer.
 
The western terminus of the NFCT is in Old Forge, New York, on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. The trail winds for 147 miles on lakes, rivers and ponds before traversing Vermont, southern Quebec, Canada; New Hampshire and Maine. Learn more about the trail online at www.northernforestcanoetrail.org.
