Northern Forest Paddlers Film Festival, Lake Placid NY, April 17, 2009

WAITSFIELD, VT (March 31, 2009) – The Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) and Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters (ALTO) are thrilled to present the Third Annual Paddler Film Fest at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts on Friday, April 17, 7-9 pm.  This event is a celebration of both kayaking and canoeing, and all proceeds from ticket sales benefit NFCT.  Advance ticket sales $10 – call Lake Placid Center for the Arts at 518-523-2512.  Tickets $12 at the door, $8 students.  Doors open at 6 pm – come early to mingle with paddle friends, and meet NFCT and ALTO staff.

This year includes a terrific line-up of films:  Eastern Horizons; Riviere Dumoine; A River’s Last Breath; This is the Sea 4; and LVM #29:  Pacific Northwest vs. Virginia.   Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or the peace of a canoe paddle dipping in quiet waters, this slate of films includes footage for all comers.

There will also be a raffle for a variety of paddling gear and NFCT products.  All ticket holders will be entered in the raffle at the door at no extra charge.
