Here in the northeast we are blessed with the annual turning of the seasons. At each juncture I sense the miracle of our landscape’s ability to support us with its beauty and bounty. It’s the same every year, yet I still marvel at the newness each time.
We are also blessed with the unwavering generosity of our community — support that sustains our work each season. We hope you will join us once again with a gift to the Mission Fund.
Just as the seasons are cyclical, so is the work of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. We begin each spring with a long list of projects, events and resources to update. Through the summer we help paddlers with trip planning, bring people together to connect on the water, fix what is broken and inspire people to discover something new about themselves and the world around them. We regroup each fall, take stock of what we accomplished and begin to look ahead to what will need to be done the following year. It’s the same every year — and still it inspires me.
As seasons change and our work ebbs and flows, one constant is your support. We are a small organization buoyed by a dedicated staff and a fleet of volunteers across New York, Vermont, Quebec, New Hampshire and Maine. Our Mission Fund provides our organization with the resources we need to keep this momentum going for years to come.
