Long Lake, NY

Long Lake is the gateway to one of the most popular stretches of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail — the Raquette River. Nestled in Hamilton County, Long Lake is a small, unassuming community for most of the year, but bursts with activity during paddling season as a popular destination for campers, boaters, seasonal residents and tourists. Long Lake hosts the start of the second day of the 90-Miler, and welcomes paddlers to the Long Lake Long Boat Regatta to cap the NFCT race series.

Long Lake lives up to its name: at 14 miles in length, it’s one of the biggest lakes in the Adirondack Park. Lodging and camping opportunities abound, and it’s a perfect jumping off point for day trips, overnights and longer adventures.
