Greenville, ME

Greenville, Maine, is located on Moosehead Lake, the state’s largest lake, at 40 miles long and 20 miles wide—perfect for fishing or boating or you can venture to the middle of the lake to hike up to the top of Mount Kineo, with its 763-foot sheer cliff. Here you can also see one of the world’s largest masses of rhyolite, a light-colored volcanic rock found in select spots throughout the state.

Greenville’s location is in the heart of the Maine Highlands, which has drawn outdoor enthusiasts for more than 200 years with its seemingly endless forests and mountains, and numerous lakes and rivers.
