Rockwood is on Moosehead Lake’s western side between Greenville and Jackman. Driving from Greenville, you will pass East Outlet where fishermen can be seen from opening day until the waters get too cold for fishing. Next you will see West Outlet which is also a favored fishing spot. Once in Rockwood, you will find amazing salmon and trout fishing on and near the Moose River as well as Moosehead Lake. A huge togue was caught here in recent years during one of Rockwood’s fishing derbies.
